Practice Director/Lawyer
Leo was born and educated in Ireland. He holds a first-class honours degree in legal and business studies, as well as a postgraduate degree in law.
After graduation, Leo practiced as a general commercial lawyer before making the decision in 2012 to migrate to Australia with his then-fiancée, Lindsay Ahern, who is the Head of Commercial at Vibe. After a quick stopover in Las Vegas, Leo and Lindsay arrived in Perth as a newly married couple and have called Western Australia home ever since.
Before joining Vibe, Leo accepted a short-term role as a banking and finance lawyer with a national top-tier firm – an invaluable experience that helped him rediscover his passion for commercial law. Over the past decade, Leo has cultivated a collaborative approach to law and applies this methodology wherever possible for the benefit of his clients.
Head of Commercial Department
Lindsay is a dual admitted lawyer, having graduated from the University of Limerick, Ireland in 2002 and immediately launched her career as a Legal Executive. The training wheels came off in March 2008 when she was admitted to practice in Ireland and has continued to excel as a commercial lawyer. Lindsay immigrated to Perth Australia in 2011 and was admitted to practice Western Australia in March 2012.
Lindsay regularly assists commercial clients with all facets of their business, from start up to sale, business succession planning, leasing and any disputes that may arise along the way. She also holds a diploma in employment law, and acts for both employees and employers in contentious matters. Away from Vibe Legal and when not raising her and Leo’s three young daughters, Lindsay is proud to be one of the founding members of the Perth Irish Business Network and a member of the Perth Rose of Tralee committee.
At Vibe, Leo and Lindsay’s clients can expect practical and commercially focused advice as well as a personalised service that is both caring – and professional.
Solicitor
James graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Science in 2018 and a Juris Doctor in 2022. He started working at Vibe in May 2023 and was admitted as a Lawyer to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in December 2023.
Family Law (property and parenting matters), as well as employment and commercial matters.
Outside of work, James enjoys cycling around the Swan River, and drinking Long Macs.
Office Manager
Lyndsey joined Vibe Legal in August of 2022, offering in-house office management and support to the team. She is originally from Ireland and moved to Perth in December 2014.
Lyndsey gained a Qualification from the Centre of Paralegal Studies in 2022 and has over 16 years of experience working in administration and business management including roles as an event manager.
Lyndsey enjoys building a rapport and fostering Vibe Legal’s relationships with our clients.
Away from the office, Lyndsey is busy with her family and enjoys camping, walking with her dogs, and getting together with friends.
